Abstract Art

This exercise was all about creativity. Doing abstract art kind of means you have to think what normal people would not think of... to the point where people might not even understand your works....

We were told to come up with a number of abstract designs based on one original photograph...

This was the photograph that I chosen from the web:


And below are some ideas I drew out based on this photograph... Some are crazy and some are interesting. Excuse the paper quality since I did it on reused paper...



















And so... working with a partner, we came up with 2 drafts for our final abstract artwork based on a piece of abstract art by some artist O_O...

This is the abstract art given to us...

A little blur for the background since I drew it very lightly. Basically it's a house in the middle of falling dices. As to what it means I will leave it to you to interpret it...

This is sort of a "cut up" piece of work where we merge 2 ideas into one by cutting rectangles here and there and inserting the respective image in... it looks pretty cool if done properly, which is why we chose this idea for our final work.

Finally.. The FINAL piece of work.


It was pretty neat and our teacher gave a rather positive feedback on this piece. This is what you get when two people come together to do a piece of work...
